Fall's sunny days and cool evenings lend themselves to leaf peeping, pumpkin carving, apple picking, bonfires and sweaters. September, October and November are also great months to sell your house.
Although spring and summer get the most attention when buying or selling, the autumn months shouldn't be overlooked when you are ready to put your house on the market.
Families with children often want to be settled in a new home prior to the first day of school, but retirees looking to downsize, empty nesters wanting a change, millennials, and folks whose companies are transferring them to a new location may find the fall months...
One of autumn's most cherished delights is heading out on a sunny day to visit an apple orchard where picking apples and making memories is a time-honored tradition.
At a pick-your-own orchard, pluck your favorite apples right off the tree, excited with the prospect of what's ahead when you get your bounty home: lots of apple sauce, delicious apple pies, or plenty of apples just bursting with flavor to crunch into.

Unbelievably, 50 years later, the plant or a cutting from it (we're not quite sure) now lives at my brother's home and has grown considerably from its original pint size into a large four-foot-tall specimen.
